Ford Revitalizes the Mustang Mach-E GT with Bronze Embellishments

Putting down nearly 500 horsepower, 600 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.8-second zero to 60 miles per hour time a full two seconds quicker than the entry-level trim, the Mustang Mach-E GT–and GT Performance Edition–does not have much to improve on. However, for the 2024 model year, Ford introduces the all-new Bronze Appearance Package for the top-tier electric SUV, adding a dose of personalization to go with all that performance. 

Even though the Mustang Mach-E GT Bronze Appearance Package is all cosmetic tweaks, the 2024 GT model does gain improvements on its own, including the newly standard Brembo brake calipers, MagneRide Damping System, 385 millimeter front rotors, and a ten-way power driver seat. The bronze package can be paired with three body color options, including Star White Metallic Tri-Coast and Shadow Black. 

That said, the bronze touches look sharpest against the new Eruption Green, especially the 20-inch Sinister Bronze painted aluminum wheels that replace the Mach-E GT vehicle’s standard 20-inch high-gloss aluminum wheels with black-painted pockets and aerodynamic cover. To that end, the Mustang “Mach-E 4X” door badges and rear GT Badge also receive the bronze treatment, coupled with the prominent bronze mesh grille on the front fascia.

The Interior Remains Intact

It is relatively strange that the Blue Oval did not enhance the Mach-E GT SUV’s interior, only the exterior design language. Typically, these types of appearance packages add features such as bronze stitching on the seats, bronze badging, and perhaps bronze GT embroidered into the seats. Still, the cabin of the standard Mach-E GT is brimming with copper metallic stitching on the sports seats, an aluminum-rimmed instrument panel, front door scuff plates with metal inserts and distinct pony graphics, multi-color ambient lighting, and GT lettering.

Ultimately, this bronze package is primarily decorative, but the few upgrades it provides, including the glossy copper grille and the sleek bronze wheels, are just enough to help it stand out.

Increase in Power

It is not like buyers are short of choices if they are in the market for a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Nevertheless, the Bronze Appearance Package is a new option for those customers looking at the range-topping, high-performance GT. Despite being an appearance package, the automaker had more to announce in an official press release: “Opportunity for optional performance upgrade, delivering the quickest 0-60 time of any production Mustang Mach-E ever.” Ford did not reveal any further details about the performance boost, but, as mentioned, the standard Mustang Mach-E is swift. It is possible that an ulterior motive is afoot to make it even quicker than a Tesla Model Y Performance.

Ford will start taking orders for the new automobile and other 2024 editions of the electric vehicle later this winter. Pricing for the Mustang Mach-E GT with the extended range battery and the Bronze Appearance Package will start at $60,990 MSRP (Plus destination fee).
